It’s hard to believe Fox Chapel was a playoff team a year ago.
On Tuesday, the Foxes suffered their latest running-clock loss in a 13-1 defeat against West Division-leading Hampton.
Sam Stites scored the opening goal of the game 20 seconds in, but then Fox Chapel allowed 13 consecutive goals as Kody Reiser had a hat trick and both Spencer Hornitz and Kevin Bott each had a pair of goals. Bott scored both shorthanded and on the power play.
Fox Chapel (0-11-0) has allowed more goals than any other team in the PIHL in any classification. Its 119 goals allowed is 55 more than both Gateway and Wheeling Park in Class 1A and 59 more than the second-highest in Class 2A, West Allegheny.
In addition, the Foxes have only scored 14 times all year and Seth Krhovsky, with five goals and eight points, has been in on 57.1 percent of them.
