Fox Chapel’s girls basketball team had high hopes entering last season. But key injuries decimated the roster, and the Foxes finished with an 8-22 record in Jennifer O’Shea’s first season at the helm.
The coach is hoping for an injury-free season this year.
“We had to do a lot of lineup juggling,” she said. “We’re hoping things will be different this time around.”
The team will be bolstered by the return of junior point guard Gabby Badway, who missed the second half of the season with a broken hand. Section 2-AAAA MVP Kayla Slovenec, a senior point guard, also returns, along with senior forwards Sarah Supsura and Anna Kelly.
Other returning players include senior guard Taylor Cohen and junior forward Bryanna Urso, both of whom also are coming back from season-ending injuries.
