Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University track & field team opened its 2016 outdoor campaign this weekend by competing in the Wake Forest Open. It marks the ninth consecutive year the Colonials have opened their outdoor season with the meet in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Highlighting the meet for the Colonials was sophomore Tricia Panos, who earned bronze in the long jump thanks to a leap of 5.10 meters (16’8.75″).
Panos, a Fox Chapel graduate, trailed only Karena Fulks of Marshall and Victoria Soeder of Duquesne, who posted leaps of 5.34 meters (17’6.25″) and 5.31 meters (17’5.25″), respectively.
