Fox Chapel continued its success against Section 3-AAA opponents during the WPIAL quarterfinals and semifinals.
Now comes the Foxes’ chance to prove they can also rule the WPIAL.
A four-goal second half pushed No. 2 Fox Chapel to a 4-0 victory over No. 14 Kiski Area in a WPIAL Class AAA semifinal game Monday at Linton Middle School in Penn Hills.
Kiski Area, like Franklin Regional — whom Fox Chapel beat, 1-0, in the quarterfinals — competes in Section 3-AAA with the Foxes.
“It’s bittersweet because us putting two teams from our section out of the playoffs just doesn’t feel right,” Fox Chapel coach Erik Ingram said. “I would have liked to have seen the seedings done a little bit differently, but it is what it is.”
