Five local golfers will compete in the WPIAL Class AAA boys golf championship after advancing through the semifinal round Tuesday, September 24.
Fox Chapel will have three representatives — seniors Patrick Sheerer, Jordan Alfery and D.J. Dietrich. All three made the top 12 at the semifinal at Hannastown Golf Club near Greensburg. Sheerer fired a 5-over- par 75 to tie for second, Alfery made three birdies and shot 78 to tie for fifth and Dietrich carded a 79 to tie for seventh.
It will be the first WPIAL championship trip for all three.
