For the last few seasons, it has been the same song and dance for coach Eric Ravotti and Fox Chapel football. They have the athletes to compete with other Class AAAA teams, but they seem to lack an offensive line that can match conference foes.
This year, however, is a different story as Ravotti finally has a line that not only excels in size, but also experience. It’s the final piece to the puzzle that could make the Foxes’ offense fun to watch.
The Foxes finished 1-8 overall and 1-6 in Quad North play last season.
“We haven’t had much luck at keeping an offensive line together with experience, size and strength,” Ravotti said. “That’s been our challenge the last three years.
“We have a bigger, more experienced line. They’re more suited to compete with the powerhouses. Up front is where you win football games.”
