Spotlight Athlete: Carson Cohen

Carson Cohen, a junior at Fox Chapel, helped the Foxes boys basketball team get off to a quick start this year.

His steady play at guard, his rebounding and defense have been a key ingredient in the 3-0 start.

He is averaging 18 points and led the team with 22 points in a win over Gateway.

The 6-foot-1 Cohen hopes to continue playing basketball in college. For his efforts, he is The Herald Spotlight Athlete.

What is the strongest part of your game?

My passing.

Who is your favorite player in the NBA?

Chris Paul.

What TV show makes you want to change the channel?

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

What three items have to be in your refrigerator?

Chocolate milk, eggs and pineapple.

Do you have any rituals or superstitions before a game?

Not really. I just like to listen to music and get mentally prepared.

What is your favorite TV show?

“South Park.”

What would make up your all-time favorite meal?

Steak, mashed potatoes, pancakes and bacon.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Aspen, Colo.

Australia.

What would be worse for you, no cell phone for a week or no TV for a week?

No cell phone.

Reese’s Pieces.
