ERIN MATHIAS
Height: 6-3 • Forward • Junior
The scoop: After missing her sophomore season with a knee injury, Mathias had a breakout junior season for the Foxes. She averaged 17.1 points per game and led Fox Chapel to a share of the Class AAAA Section 2 title. She scored nine points in the Foxes’ first-round WPIAL playoff victory against Butler, and scored 19 in their 45-42 lossagainst Mt. Lebanon in the quarterfinals.
College talk: Mathias has been verbally committed to Duke since her freshman season. She can sign her letter of intent for the Blue Devils in November.
Most memorable moment from this season? “Winning section champs.”
What do you most want to improve about your basketball game? “Probably my range, [my] 3-point range.”
What’s your favorite school subject? “Math.”
