The Fox Chapel girls lacrosse team finished its season with a 9-3 section record, 10-5 overall and a trip to the quarterfinals of the WPIAL playoffs.
“One of our goals was to get back to the playoffs, and we accomplished that,” said Fox Chapel coach Jen McCrady, who is stepping down after eight seasons and will be replaced by assistant Katie Lundberg. “We saw fantastic performances from returning players and had some of our newer players really surprise us.
“Of course, we would have liked to have played for a championship, and that was our expectation as we entered the postseason. However, I think we were more than impressed with the style of lacrosse we were playing by May.”
