The Fox Chapel girls golf team returns its entire group of starters from last year and coach John Broderick is optimistic about the team’s chances for success.
“Many of the girls played an extensive summer tournament schedule, and they’re ready for a big year,” Broderick said.
Broderick also is excited about the number of golfers who tried out for the team.
“We have a record number of girls on the roster. There are 16 golfers on the team.”
Senior Ciera Miller, who was the King’s Family Restaurant Player of the Year for her age group, and sophomore Hannah Conroy, who was the runner-up for Player of the Year in her age bracket, highlight a talented roster. Senior Emily Robosson, junior Ursula Meyer and sophomore Cara Levicoff started most of the team’s matches last year and will be counted on to be solid performers.
