Four local schools had a little extra to celebrate at the conclusion of this year’s high school sports calendar, finishing as the top point scorers during the spring season in the Trib Total Media/WPXI High School Sports award standings.
A culmination of the success across a wide range of sports, the Trib Cup awards points for accomplishments in a wide range of Western Pennsylvania high school athletics, and this spring, four schools rose above the rest.
Fox Chapel (Class AAAA), Deer Lakes (Class AAA), Neshannock (Class AA) and Sewickley Academy (Class A) each led their respective classifications during the spring season.
Class AAAA: Fox Chapel
The Foxes were consistent across the board in every sport this spring, with each of their teams advancing to the WPIAL playoffs.
