Fox Chapel senior Andrew Tublin didn’t pause when asked whether the Foxes’ win against Seneca Valley Tuesday night in the PIAA Class AAA semifinals was bigger than their win against the Raiders in the WPIAL title match.
“Definitely. It’s much bigger. We’re going to Penn State to play in the state title match,” said Tublin, referring to the site Saturday for the championship. “It’s clearly bigger than our win in the WPIAL final.”
The match Tuesday night marked the fourth time Fox Chapel and Seneca Valley locked horns this season. The two teams split regular-season matches and shared the Section 2 title. They met again in the WPIAL title match and the Foxes posted a 3-1 victory.
