The Fox Chapel boys soccer team lost a solid group of seniors to graduation, but coach Erik Ingram doesn’t consider it a big problem, considering how much experience the underclassmen gained last season.
“As far as our seniors last year, it was an injury-plagued season for them,” he said. “I think our goalie, Matt Herrmann, was the only player who didn’t suffer any kind of injury.”
The Foxes lost in the first round of the playoffs last year, and Ingram expects the team to make a playoff run this year, led by senior all-state midfielder Koto Furuhata.
“He was the only junior on the all-state team last year,” Ingram said. “He’s a very talented player, and a lot will be expected of him.”
