Fox Chapel coach Mike Frank took the lineup card off the dugout wall to give to his pitcher, Pat Monteverde. It’s a tradition, Frank says.
“After every win, we give it to the winning pitcher,” Frank said.
Wednesday, Frank gave his pitcher a winning lineup card from a playoff game. That’s not a tradition.
Fox Chapel beat Allderdice, 7-3, in the first round of the WPIAL Class AAAA playoffs at West Mifflin. The previous time Fox Chapel won a playoff game, Frank wasn’t born and Jimmy Carter was in the White House.
