Although their season ended last week with a loss to Bethel Park in the WPIAL Class AAAA quarterfinals, it was a highly successful campaign for the Fox Chapel baseball team.
The Foxes finished with a 14-8 record and were 8-2 in Section 3-AAAA. That record gave the Foxes their first section title since 1999, and they won a playoff game for the first time since 1978.
“We had a fantastic season because of the commitment of our players and coaches,” FC coach Michael Frank said. “It was remarkable how selfless each of the players were. They put the team ahead of any of their personal stats. This commitment to the team and serving the team in any role possible was truly why we were successful.”
