Alexa Yaksich, a senior, has been a member of the Fox Chapel girls varsity basketball team for four years. But she has been playing the sport for much longer. In fact, she said, she began playing when she was in the fourth grade. All of that experience paid off last week as Yaksich scored a team-high 13 points to lead the Foxes past Butler in the opening round of the WPIAL playoffs. She also found out she has been selected to play in the Cager Classic at Highlands High School.
