A fast start earned Jen Moran (Fox Chapel) some early-season
accolades.
Moran, a sophomore at Gannon, was named the PSAC
Western Division Softball Player of the Week after she hit .478
(11 for 23) with five doubles, three runs and three RBIs in eight games for the Knights (6-5) at the National
Training Center in Clermont, Fla. A shortstop, Moran led Gannon to a come-from-behind, 10-9 win over
Georgian Court. She ripped a two-run double for a walk-off win. She went 4 for 6 in a split against Southern New
Hampshire and Walsh. Moran has five multiple-hit games so far this season.
