Fox Chapel 9, Woodland Hills 0 — The Foxes led 6-0 at halftime en route to a Section 3-AAAA victory over the Wolverines (2-5, 1-3). Katie Livingston scored twice to lead Fox Chapel (6-2, 4-0), and Fallon Curry, Diana Beasley, Theresa Heidenreich, Sabrina McQuarrie, Claudia DeMartino, Katie Eisengart and Lizzy McKee added goals. McQuarrie, Heidenreich, McKee, Julie Mallinger, Sarah Sinnott and Britta Lagerquist assisted on goals for the Foxes, who earned their fifth shutout.
Girls’ Golf
Fox Chapel senior Hannah Conroy shot an 84 at Wednesday’s WPIAL Section 4-AAA golf qualifier at Pittsburgh North and punched her ticket to her fourth WPIAL championship tournament.
Girls’ Tennis
Fox Chapel 3, Shady Side Academy 2 — The Foxes (15-1) topped the rival Indians to wrap up the Section 3-AAA championship for the second year in a row. Amanda Nord, Charlotte James and Aya Youssef won their singles matches in straight sets to clinch the match and the title for Fox Chapel. The Foxes wait to see who they will take on in the first round of the WPIAL AAA tournament.
