For the third time this season, diver Miranda Simon broke a school record and her own personal record by scoring 277.9 points on the 1-meter springboard. Miranda began the season by shattering a 21-year school record with a score more than 25 points higher than the previous one. She broke it a second time against Woodland Hills and then again on January 13 at Hampton High School. Miranda’s outstanding performance now places her an impressive 38 points higher than the 1982 record. A senior honors student, Miranda already has qualified to represent Fox Chapel Area High School at the 2015 WPIAL Championships. Congratulations and good luck Miranda!
