HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Slippery Rock University women’s tennis team recorded a 9-0 shutout against regional foe East Stroudsburg University Sunday morning at the Evian Tennis Complex in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
With the win, Slippery Rock improves to 3-3 on the season while East Stroudsburg falls to 0-3 on the year. SRU’s shutout was its first of 2016-17.
Lacey Cohen and Amanda Bruscemi teamed together for the first time at No. 1 doubles to defeat Amber Jadus and Kayla Loar, 8-1.
Slippery Rock took all six singles bouts in the exact order of its lineup. Cohen, a Fox Chapel graduate, was victorious against Jadus 6-1, 6-0.
