The Fox Chapel Area High School cheerleading squad will be spreading some holiday joy again this season with their second annual toy drive. The event will kick off Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the school’s first boys’ and girls’ basketball games of the season. The girls’ game begins at 6 p.m., followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m. Individuals donating gifts will receive reduced admission rates for the evening – $1 for students and $3 for adults. The toy drive will continue until December 16.
“The gifts will be donated to the Sharpsburg Family Worship Center’s Presents 4 Kids program,” says cheerleading coach Aleta Balcer. “We wanted to help underserved kids in our own community this year.” Last year’s gifts were donated to Children’s Hospital of UPMC.
All gifts should be new and cost no more than $10. People unable to donate at the game may drop off their gifts at the Fox Chapel Area High School Athletic Office between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.December 13-16.
