Jack Reese usually doesn’t eat breakfast, but he did Saturday with the rest of the Fox Chapel boys volleyball team.
Even after Reese consumed bacon, sausage, eggs and potato pancakes, setter Max DePellegrini kept feeding him the ball — and Reese stayed hungry.
Reese had a team-high 21 kills and seven blocks, and Fox Chapel (18-1) overcame a Bethel Park rally from two sets down to win 3-2 in the PIAA Class AAA volleyball quarterfinals Saturday at North Allegheny.
“It seems like whenever we have a team breakfast, I just particularly play well those days,” Reese said. “Maybe I should start eating breakfast more.”
