Background: All-star games are usually known as high-scoring affairs, but Veltri has shut down the opposition in his opportunities against the league’s best. The Foxes junior stopped all 14 shots he faced Sunday to help the East to a 7-2 victory. Last season, Veltri stopped all 16 shots he faced in the all-star game. In regular-season play, Veltri is 4-6-2 with an .887 save percentage, the second-highest percentage among goaltenders in Class AA with at least 375 saves.
