With an overall record of 6-6 and a Class AAAA Section 2 mark of 3-3 heading into Wednesday’s non-section home game against North Hills, Fox Chapel Area basketball coach Zach Skrinjar is focusing on the back half of a schedule that could yield huge dividends for his Foxes.
“We’re actually a little more healthy,” Skrinjar said. “That was a big thing from the beginning of the season. But over the last few days, they’re getting used to practicing with each other and playing with each other. So, it will be a benefit to have everyone healthy.”
Skrinjar said that’s crucial because he uses at least five players from his bench to spell the starting five. He’s also hoping the team will become more consistent as the season winds down.
One factor that hasn’t been a concern is the play of Billy Urso, a 5-foot-10 senior guard who is averaging 19.4 points a game.
