Vickie Weiss Kisslinger graduated from Fox Chapel Area High School in 1984 after earning a total of seven letters in volleyball, basketball and track.
She graduated with school track records in the discus and shot put as well as the 1,600 and 3,200 relays.
“I have great memories from all three sports,” Kisslinger said. “We had such an amazing group of athletes. Many of us who were on the volleyball team also played on the basketball team and we had a lot of success and developed strong friendships.”
The highlight of her athletic careers, she said, probably was going to the PIAA championships as part of the 3,2000 relay team as a sophomore.
“We finished fourth in the state and set a school record,” Kisslinger said. “I was probably the slowest leg on the team. I guess you could say I was the Achilles heel but we still did well.”
