A 5-foot-9 junior, Villani has been skating and playing hockey since about age 7. She also plays on the Pittsburgh Elite Girls 16-Under team. She said there is quite a difference playing for the boys team.
“The physicality of the game is at a much higher level, and the guys move faster on the ice,” she said.
