The boys’ cross-country team finished second at the WPIAL championships held October, 25, which qualifies them to compete at the PIAA championship next weekend. Colin Martin finished first while Ethan Martin finished with the silver medal. It is Colin’s first gold medal at the event and is believed to be the first time in WPIAL history that twin brothers have been the top two finishers. Other top point scorers for the boys’ team were Aaron Bliss, Chris Good, Elias Graca, Jacob Halasowski, and Brendon Urso. The girls’ team also did a commendable job, finishing 7th out of 29 teams. Mary Humphrey placed 14th overall out of 238 runners and also qualified for PIAA competition. Congratulations to both teams and good luck at the state competition!
