Matt D’Amico, Fox Chapel
The past week: D’Amico scored 36 points in a 73-59 victory against Penn Hills last Friday. It was the third time in four games, he had scored 30 or more.
Check this out: D’Amico, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound junior guard, came into the week tied for the WPIAL scoring lead with Shaler’s Geno Thorpe at 27.1 points a game. He has been a starter since his freshman year and has more than doubled his average last year of 11 points a game. D’Amico has three older sisters (Sara, Michelle and Pam) who played at Fox Chapel. Matt also plays volleyball for the Foxes.
