Fox Chapel Area High School girls’ basketball standout Erin Mathias has been nominated for the Gatorade Player of the Year award. The prestigious award recognizes athletic and academic excellence and exemplary character. Mathias, a 6’3” junior, is the leading scorer for the Lady Foxes and also one of the WPIAL’s top scorers. Erin has given Duke University, a verbal commitment, where she will continue her basketball and academic career. Congratulations, Erin!
