2023 Fox Chapel Area Schools Sports Hall of Fame Inductees

Congratulations to these Fox Chapel Area alumni, who will be inducted into the Fox Chapel Area Schools Sports Hall of Fame in June!

Mike Babst, ’95

Soccer and baseball. Starting goalkeeper, team captain. All-section & All-WPIAL player. Three-year varsity letter winner at Boston College. NCAA soccer coach for more than 20 years, including head coach at University of Chicago (’13-’19), NCAA runner-up, ‘17. Head coach at Davidson College, 2020-present.

 

Adam Bisnowaty, ‘12

Football, wrestling, track. Earned 10 varsity letters. Selected to the PG Fabulous 22, Trib Terrific 25, PA Football All-Class AAAA. Played in the All-American Bowl. Earned four varsity letters at the University of Pittsburgh. Four-year All-Academic ACC. Two-year first team All-ACC. Drafted by the New York Giants. Played professionally for three seasons for the Giants and Minnesota Vikings.

 

Eric Burnett, ’04

Track and cross country. Earned eight varsity letters. Team captain. University of Pittsburgh six-time letter winner and four-time scholar-athlete. All Big East 3200-meter relay. Captain of men’s cross country team at Pitt. Pittsburgh Great Race 5K Champion, ’08. USA Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon team member, ’11-present. USAT Sprint Triathlon National Champion ’11. LA Tri Club “Speedster of the Year,” 2012, “Athlete of the Year,” 2013.

 

Lily Feldman, ‘09

Soccer and track. Four-year starter and letter winner. Two-time captain, Team MVP as a senior. Captain of track team. WPIAL qualifier in the 200m, 800m, 4×100 and 4×800 relays. Attended the University of Vermont. Four-year starter and two-year captain. Team MVP as a senior. Represented Team USA at the 2013 Maccabiah Games.

 

Rachel Humphrey, ’07

Cross Country and track. Eight varsity letters. FC record-holder in cross country and 3200 meters. Two-time WPIAL medalist in cross country and three-time WPIAL medalist in track. Four-time PIAA qualifier in cross country and three-time PIAA qualifier in track. Herald Female Athlete of the Year, ’07. Competed in cross country and track at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Heather (Peltier) Melzer, ‘87

Earned eight varsity letters in track, cross country, and field hockey. Attended John Carroll University. All Ohio Athletic Conference four years, Team Most Valuable Athlete three years. USA Triathlon Long Course Duathlon National Champion Female in 2021 & 2022. 2022 PA State Champion Olympic Distance Triathlon.

 

Lindsay (Weber) Mulvihill, ‘02

Volleyball and basketball. Seven varsity letters. Team captain of ’01 volleyball section champions. Set FC single-season record for 3-point baskets made. Attended Slippery Rock University. Four-year volleyball letter winner. Finished in the SRU all-time top 10 in seven statistical categories in volleyball.

In addition to these seven Fox Chapel alumni, the hall of fame will also be recognizing the 1995-96 girls swim team, the only Fox Chapel swim team to capture the WPIAL championship.
