Last year, the Gateway varsity girls soccer team went 11-0-1 in Section 3-AAA play and captured the championship.
Two of those wins came against rival Fox Chapel, including the 2-1 title-clinching victory at Gateway’s Antimarino Stadium.
Forward Emily Stevens scored the game winner in the second half.
