Fall Sports Review 2017

Fox Chapel Area High School’s fall sports teams had another great season, with nine out of 10 teams qualifying for the WPIAL playoffs and three teams advancing to the PIAA championships. Most noteworthy were the girls’ cross country and girls’ doubles tennis teams who both won their respective state championships on the same day in Hershey, Pennsylvania! It was cross country’s first-ever PIAA win and the third consecutive PIAA title for the doubles tennis program.

With such impressive results year-after-year, it’s no wonder that Niche ranked Fox Chapel Area #7 out of 73 Pittsburgh area school districts among the best for athletes. The district also ranked #27 out of 470 public schools in Pennsylvania.
