Frank B. Fuhrer III, will be inducted into the Alle-Kiski Valley Sports Hall of Fame on May 17.
The hall of fame’s 45th induction ceremony is slated for the Clarion Hotel, New Kensington, at 7 p.m.
After a great golf career at Fox Chapel Area High School, Fuhrer had an outstanding run at the University of North Carolina.
Since 2002, the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association honors the region’s top collegiate golfer with the Frank B. Fuhrer III Award.
